  1. F4 all perks & STATS play

Has anyone attempted an "all/maxed STATS & perks" play-through? Does this game have a DA:I type thing where foes don't give you any XP if you're a certain number of levels above them?
  2. RELEASED: Fallout 4 Mods for Xbox

Fallout 4 - Mods Now Available for Xbox One Update – May 31 Starting today, we are excited to deliver on something we’ve wanted to do for a very long time – bring Mods to a console audience. With the latest title update for Fallout 4, Xbox One gamers are now able to browse Mods on Bethesda.net and, more importantly, can directly download and play Mods within the game’s main menu. Playing Fallout 4 on PlayStation 4? Your wait is almost over, too. We anticipate Mods arriving on the PS4 next month. For news and updates on Fallout 4 Mods, keep your eyes on Bethesda.net, our community forums, and on the @bethesdastudios and @fallout Twitter accounts. Mods and the players who create them have always been an important part of our games, going all the way back to Morrowind and The Elder Scrolls Construction Set. We believe that our games become something much more special, when we put the power of creation in your hands. New quests, environments, characters, dialogue, outfits, weapons and more – with Mods, the possibilities of what you can do are endless. You are creating new experiences that enhance and take our games into amazing and surprising new directions. For Fallout 4, our goal was to make Mods easier and more accessible than ever before – for both the creators and the players. By building an all-new system with Bethesda.net we’ve made a huge leap forward in achieving that. You can now browse and search for the latest and greatest Mods, choose your favorites, post feedback, and install them – all within the game. Simply select Mods from the main menu, and start browsing. You can also browse through mods online on Bethesda.net. If you want to try making Mods (and we think everybody should), the Creation Kit – the same tool that we used to create Fallout 4 – is a free download via theBethesda.net launcher. You can check out the Creation Kit Wiki, our online documentation and help file, for more details and tips on how to make them. We plan to update and evolve Mods and the Creation Kit based on your experiences so be sure to leave feedback in our forums. For console players, Mods will be coming to Xbox One in May and PlayStation 4 in June. We have a lot to do yet, but we hope it changes console gaming the way it has changed PC. Finally, we’d like to thank all the Modders who volunteered to beta test the Creation Kit and Mods during our closed beta. Your feedback has been invaluable and we couldn’t have done it without you. For them and for all our players, we can’t wait to see what you create. --------------------- Go online to Bethesda.net and create an account. Then peruse the mods, add whichever you like to your library and then when next you play Fallout 4, select Mods from your menu, sign in to Bethesda.net and away ya go! ***WARNING*** Using any mods will turn off achievements.
  3. Cursed Brickwall of Headbanging +6

Okay, my forays in the "new" Survival mode are coming along excitedly. With one tiny, itsy bitsy eeny-meeny caveat: the never-to-be-damned-enough first encounter with the Brotherhood via face-shooting a bunch of ghouls. I cannot, for the life of me, complete that encounter. The damned damage modifiers make them ridiculously strong (particularly the last two batches) and they regularly knock out the guy in power armor right before tearing off my power-armored limbs. They tend to traipse right across my landmines to then gracefully pirouette into me for crippling damage. I've collected four mini-nukes and am staring at them intently.
  4. Fallout 4 Tip Thread

Let's get a tip thread going. As we learn little things or find an interesting spot, we can share them. Avoid listing spoilers! Here's a Kotaku tip thread on crafting. Not a lot of information, but something to get you started on the robust & unexplained settlement crafting. They also had an article about how to get the Cryolator (freeze ray shotgun) in the Overseer's office in Vault 111 even if you're not a master lockpick. Take Dogmeat down there & have him find items. He'll grab the gun out of the case. It comes with 200 ammo which might be in Dogmeat's inventory. It's a good weapon in that it can freeze enemies close in though they don't stay frozen for long.
  5. Fallout 4 Pip-Boy App Is Out

Bethesda has released the official Pip-Boy app for both iOS and Android. I installed it on my phone, but might actually use my larger Kindle Fire for it (to make the screen easier to read). The app needs to connect to your game running on PC, PS4 or Xbox One. Can't wait to get my copy. The Pip-Boy app can be used with your PC, PS4 or Xbox One to perform the functions of the in-game Pip-Boy. This is how you access quest log, local maps, world maps, stats and inventory. If you're getting the Pip-Boy edition, the app allows you to size and locate the screen so it works with the opening on the Pip-Boy. I already know that my LG G4 is too large for the Pip-Boy :( so I won't be able to actually have it on my wrist. Download the app from Google Play or wherever it is folks get iOS apps. 6. Fallout 4 followers

It looks to me like this one is all but demanding that you create your own group of followers. From what I've played thus far you can rebuild the Minutemen. How big can you potentially rebuild them to? If true, does this mean you can effectively be the mayor or "king" of certain communities? Can anyone confirm this one way or another? The idea of a fiefdom has a certain appeal, it was something I was hoping for with Skyrim. I found it odd that in Skyrim you became really powerful, & were the deciding factor in the civil war, but never even got your own fiefdom as a reward.
  7. Fallout 4 anomalies caught on film!

I have two incidences of weirdness caught on film I thought I'd share. If you managed to capture any share them here! First is two floating Yao Guai. I was wondering the Commonwealth, walked in to a ravine, turned the corner and saw this. What I didn't capture was my shooting the bodies, them falling to the ground and a Deathclaw popping his head around the rocks to investigate. Second up is me completing a quest in a supposedly safe location. I had been training Mirelurks way above my level around as I completed some objectives, then barricaded myself in a safe house. You have to open and close a gate, walk through a door and then activate a hatch and loading screen to get to this place. As we spoke the NPC pulled his weapon, and this happened.
  8. Fallout 4 SPECIAL

Just caught wind of this. Bethesda has been doing these vids for the past few weeks apparently. They're releasing these on a semi-regular basis until Fallout 4 hits. Hopefully this bodes well for the 4th installment; one of the things I miss since Bethesda screwed Interplay out of the franchise was the dark humor that made the 1st 2 games so memorable. Enjoy folks. Strength Perception Endurance
