I wonder who did that

"It's not about whether you win or lose.  It's about not wasting your money on more bullshit Destiny expansions."

I have honestly been saying this exact same thing nearly every day since I realized 'Crota's End was a steaming pile of crap worth nothing close to $20.

I spent $32 to acquire a skull mask in Destiny!

I spent $60 on MCC and played it for less than 30 hours in a year! I don't complain about that, it's a choice I made, I decided to play destiny of instead and play that I sure as hell did, over 3,100 hours now. I spent more time trying to beat Crota on hard for the 1st time than I did playing MCC.

I also just bought Halo 5 and BO3 and will likely not play them nearly as much as Destiny, but I'm cool with that, it gives me options if for some odd reason I need a break from destiny.

Moral of the story is over 50 of my 200 friends have logged over 1,000 hours in destiny, I consider myself an avid battlefield player and I have only played 600 hours of BF4 in 2 years time. Just because the popular consensus is that Destiny's content is not worth the price tag, doesn't mean that the people still playing aren't getting their money's worth out of it.

I'd say I got about 5 years worth of play time out of destiny at this point, seeing that I logged around 600 hours in the 1st year if BF4.

As much as people like to complain about the pricing of the DLC with Destiny, I know I personally got tons of gameplay out of it in the time that I was playing it.  In the end I decided that the Crucible was the only part I had any desire to stick around for, and that it wasn't robust enough for me.  Doesn't detract from it being an excellent game.  Just means that it didn't have everything I was personally looking for.

I read an article yesterday that said Destiny now has 25 million active players, up 5 million since release of taken king.

I find the comment in the video funny, but I have zero regrets about any of the money I've spent on Destiny. That is all of the expansions and Carlton Dance. Each successive expansion has gotten better, and Destiny is still an excellent game. I say it every time this topic is discussed. The price of a new game has barely changed over the last 10 years, but game development costs have gone up significantly. If the price wasn't worth it for you, that's cool. Price and value are different for every person.

I didn't mean to turn this into a Destiny discussion thread, but I should have expected it. I did specifically call out that comment. We have beaten this horse to death I think.

Well said.  I find the comment both hilarious and enjoyed the time I spent with Destiny. It's a popular topic in the gaming community and thus funny to joke about, but no one should have to defend their game here.

Halo is my franchise above all others, but I laughed at this entire clip, "Go behind the paintball mask".  Yep! I've thought that too.
