Ohhhh... Shock Turret Strategy.

This sheds more light on why shock turrets really hinder my wannabe PVP skills. It's the extra talent that provides shock to other enemies in the near by area of the one target that got shocked.


I then went ahead and tried this out for myself by putting on shock turrets and changing to the Fear Tactics Talent (Applying Shock to any target triggers a 30% chance to apply the effect to all targets within 10m) and went rogue on a group of 4 unsuspecting targets.

CC in general works really well in this game and I'm a bit surprised it isn't used as much. I've always been of the (old school MMO dungeoneering) belief that CC should be in everyone's build, but right now most of the Division seems centered around maximizing DPS and overhealing to counter damage. 

I personally hope that now that it's common knowledge Massive won't nerf this style of play as I'm already bored with having to run everything with medic skills. They should instead expand upon the other branches, tweaking as necessary, to allow for a more varied gameplay experience. 

An all-flamer build is something I'm a fan of that even works decently well in PvE. I might try it sometime in the Dark Zone (there's a talent that does the same as Fear Tactics, but with fire - I choose that and combine it with napalm grenades, well-placed flamer turrets, and the flame seeker).
