Mine shipped! I'll be waiting impatiently all day for the UPS guy. Sometimes he shows at 11am, sometimes 2-3pm, and other times 6pm.

I thought it was funny that the TV commercial ended with 'Hell Awaits', but on YouTube and Xbox, it ends with 'Go to Hell'.

This is definitely on my list to get via Goozex. Not reviewing very well but looks like a fun diversion. Being a single player game, I'm in no rush.

I played the first part last night, up to the first circle of Hell (Limbo). I love this game!

The story is good, and so is the action. There are a lot of powers and abilities to unlock, and you can follow the Holy path for powers with your Cross, or the Unholy path for combat abilities with your weapon.

And you get to Punish or Absolve some infamous Biblical characters. Sometimes I feel guilty for Absolving these people, but I need the Holy power.

The action is fast and intense. Definitely getting my God of War and Ninja Gaiden fix!

You can't pan the camera with the right thumbstick, which takes some getting used to. But the game does a good job of keeping the camera placed in a good spot.

They have scheduled DLC over the next 3 months, so this one should get a lot more play time than most games I buy.

I'm lovin' this game too. I got both bioshock 2 and this. I actually got into this more. Def one that will get played all the way through and not shelved before hand.

I don't have the game so I can't really say, but I was reading some reviews over at Metacritic.com and they said that it borrows alot from GoW...but doesn't really compare.

They did say it's a solid game and is probably the closest you are going to get to GoW on the 360. But they also said that Bayonetta was probably a better choice if you like this type of game.

Default Re: Dante's Inferno

Let me start by saying I am really happy with my purchase of this game, it is exactly what I was looking for, a good single player RPG. MW2 is my multiplayer shooter right now and I needed a little something else. Being a "poor college student" I have to be picky with what games I buy. I didn't really get into the first Bioshock (played about halfway through I think) so didn't plan on getting 2, didn't play the first Mass Effect so didn't plan on getting 2, no Borderlands because MW2 is my shooter of choice and I really don't need another. Nothing else looks good to me right now either. So, after playing the demo I decided I would go with Dante's Inferno.

So here is my mini review, no spoilers. I have played about 2 hours or so and I am on the second layer of hell I think, maybe a little farther. So far this game seems to have the perfect balance, IMO, of fighting, mini-bosses, bosses and "puzzles". The puzzles are hard enough not to just breeze through but easy enough where you don't get stuck forever. Although one did get me a little annoyed. To echo MadWik, you cannot control the camera view which does take getting used to but, the developers did a really good job with it and I have no complaints. One thing I really like is that you don't spend half your time playing in the menu like a lot of other RPGs I have played (namely Too Human and 2 Worlds, etc.) Granted there is not tons of eqiupment to deal with like in those. The power/attack upgrading system is simple yet effective. The more "souls" you capture and the more creatures you absolve or punish, the more becomes available. You can find relics which add special abilities when you equip them, such as more points when you absolve someone or adding benefits to certain attacks. Also as you play through the game and find stuff you unlock additional videos and info accessible from the menu. One thing I am really excited for is the DLC. From the main menu screen there is a video you can watch where one of the developers talks about it, its called something like Cathedral of St. Lucia. (I am on my phone right now so it is a pain to look up the exact name.) Basically, it is going to add a co-op aspect and editing aspect to the game. Apparently there is or will be a "wave" mode as well (not sure If it is available in game right now.) This wave mode is where you will be able to use the editor and create your own waves. You can add certain enemies as well as edit their strength and health. You will also be able to share your created content with other players. They can DL it, play it and RATE IT! That is just about the coolest idea I have heard for content in a long time. I am going to have to watch it again when I get home, that's for sure. Anyway, that is my "mini" review for now. I can't wait to get home and play some more, who needs to study for a midtrem tomorrow when they have new video game...bah!
